- I get many questions and will try to give a general answer here:
- Question 1:
- Is it a lot of work to write Blogs like this?
- Answer: Yes, it certainly is. Think of it as writing a book in installments. Although when publishing a book the responsibility to say the truth and nothing but… is even greater, the research which goes into my Blogs is extensive. I do it for the horses – I do it trying to make it possible for you to make your horses happier – and I take it very seriously!
- Question 2:
- Could we discuss things further in a Forum style way?
- Answer: Sorry – no time for that! I also regret that my critical opinion is that you shouldn’t write anything when you have nothing to say – and I looked into enough Forums, where a lot of natter without substance is going on. I know this is the fashion nowadays… and I am old-fashioned, but the Internet is certainly plugged with a lot of nonsense, which makes it ever harder to find the good stuff.
- Question 3:
- Can we correspond via Facebook, Twitter etc?Answer: No, not with me. I stay away from those things as far as I can – anything written on Facebook belongs to the Company of Facebook, which I find really disturbing! But I AM grateful if you forward my Webpage to your friends – again: I do this for the horses, not to put my little self out there and become “Internet famous”!
- Question 4:
- How to create a website like mine, the format, the technical problems that might arise (somebody mentioned that the pictures do not load correctly in some form or another), can’t subscribe, RSS issues, Safari is fine, but opening in IE is not, and so on.
- Answer: My website is created by QUIXII Inc. and that is all I know. I’m sure you can Google them. I can’t answer ANY technical questions, because I don’t have a clue. Just manage my Blog page according to my templates.
- Question 5:
- I enjoyed your Blogs – do you have recommendations to novice Blog writers?Answer: My recommendation would be to first of all write only about things you KNOW. Study English 100 – read lots of good books to develop your style – and for Heaven’s sake: you all learn how to SPELL! Some comments are hardly decipherable!
- Question 6:
- “I tried this with my horse… and it doesn’t work.”
- Answer: As much as I would love to answer your questions regarding training your horse, I simply do not have the time to help you via emails or comments like that. I hardly have time to keep up the Blogs! For people in my area (Vancouver BC) I offer clinics, for others there are my books and films to help you. This is what they were produced for.
- Question 7:
- Not really a question – “I know this is totally off topic, but I had to tell someone!”Answer: PLEASE do that with someone else! I daily have to screen and erase hundreds of such comments and you are complicating my life! I DO NOT have time for stuff like that! PLEASE spare me, I don’t have a secretary!!
- Since allowing comments, I have been swamped with Spam, and will now have to block them completely. You can, however, reach me through my contact button and I will be very happy to react to your suggestions.
- The series which I am writing right now “Understanding your Horse” is very labour intensive, especially if I want to find good pictures to clarify the meaning of the words better. It is a complex issue – and over the holiday season the articles will by necessity come at a slower pace than usual. I hope you will forgive me and be patient!

- Ich erhalte viele Fragen und werde hier versuchen auf alle zu antworten:
- Frage 1:
- Ist es viel Arbeit so einen Blog zu schreiben?
- Antwort: Ja, auf jeden Fall. Es ist als ob man ein Buch in Raten schreibt. Und obwohl die Verantwortung,die Wahrheit und nichts als die Wahrheit zu sagen, wenn man ein Buch veröffentlicht noch ein bißchen größer ist, ist der Aufwand für meine Blogs auch erheblich. Ich schreibe für das Wohl der Pferde – um es Ihnen zu ermöglichen Ihre Pferde noch glücklicher zu machen – und ich nehme das sehr ernst!
- Frage 2:
- Können wir die Dinge in einer Art Forum noch weiter diskutieren?
- Antwort: Tut mir leid – dafür habe ich keine Zeit. Ich bedaure auch, daß meine kritische Einstellung dazu ist, daß man nichts schreiben sollte, wenn man nichts zu sagen hat – und ich habe genug „Foren“ angeschaut, wo eine Menge Gequatsche ohne Substanz erscheint. Ich weiß, sowas ist heute Mode… und ich bin altmodisch, aber das Internet ist vollgestopft mit Unsinn, was es nur schwieriger macht, die guten Sachen zu finden.

Können wir auf Facebook. Twitter usw. korrespondieren? Antwort: Nein, nicht mit mir. Ich bleibe dem sowiet entfernt wie möglich – alles was auf Facebook erscheint gehört der Firma Facebook – ich finde das sehr beunruhigend! Ich bin aber dankbar, wenn Sie meine Webseite and Ihre Freunde weiter empfehlen – wiederum: ich tu es für die Pferde, nicht um mich auf dem Internet heraus zu stellen!
- Frage 4:
- Wie stellt man eine Webseite wie meine auf die Beine, das Format, die technischen Probleme, die auftauchen können (jemand erwähnt, daß die Bilder nicht richtig laden), daß man die Blogs nicht abonnieren kann, RSS Probleme, Safari gut, aber Öffnen in IE klappt nicht, usw. Antwort: Meine Webseite ist von QUIXII Inc. Erstellt und mehr weiß ich nicht. Die kann man sicher Googlen. Ich kann KEINERLEI technische Fragen beantworten, da ich davon keine Ahnung habe. Ich stelle nurt meine Texte in die vorgefertigten Schablonen.

- „Die Blogs sind gut – hast Du Empfehlungen für neue Blog-Schreiber?“
- Antwort: Meine Empfehlungen sind erstens, nurt über Dinge zu schreiben, über die man Bescheid weiß. Lesen sie viele gute Bücher, um einen guten Styl zu entwickeln – und vor allem: Lernen Sie Rechtschreibung! Manche (englische) Kommentare sind fast nicht zu entziffern!

- „Ich habe das mit meinem Pferd ausprobiert… es klappt nicht“
- Antwort: So gern ich Ihre Fragen zum Pferdetraining beantworten würde, habe ich einfach keine Zeit das via Emails zu erledigen. Ich habe ja kaum Zeit dfie Blogs zu schreiben! Für Leute in meiner Gegend (Vancouver Kanada) biete ich Workshops an, für die anderen gibt es meine Bücher und Filme. Dafür habe ich sie produziert!
- Frage 7:
- Nicht mal eine Frage – „ich weiß, daß hat nichts mit Ihrem Thema zu tun, aber ich mußte es einfach jemandem mitteilen!“
- Antwort: BITTE machen Sie das mit jemand anderem! Ich muß jeden Tag Hunderte solcher Kommentare durchsehen uns löschen und das kompliziert mein Leben! BITTE verschont mich damit, ich habe keine Sekretärin!!
- Seit ich Kommentare erlaubt habe, werde ich nun mit Spam überschwemmt und muß sie leider ab jetzt blockieren. Sie können mich aber nach wie vor über “Kontakt” erreichen und ich werde Ihre Vorschläge gern zur Kenntnis nehmen.
- Die Serie „Ihr Pferd verstehen“, die ich momentan schreibe, ist sehr arbeitsintensiv, vor allem, wenn ich versuche gute Fotos dafür zu finden, um den Text zu ergänzen. Es ist eine komplexe Sache – und über die Feiertage wird es mit den Artikeln notwendigerweise etwas langsamer zugehen als gewöhnlich. Ich hoffe auf Ihr Verständnis und Ihre Geduld!
