Longieren macht Spass – Teil 07
|
- How many hours have I not spent as a vaulting trainer turning like a chicken on the spit!
- But lunging does not have to be boring.
|
|
- Wie viele Stunden habe ich als Voltige-Trainer nicht damit verbracht mich zu drehen wie ein Hühnchen am Spieß!
- Aber Longieren muß nicht langweilig sein.

 The new horse in te centre learns his job quickly from his buddies!

- Establish a playgroup and try your hands at lunging more than one – with three ropes and a whip you’ll be busy staying organized.
|
|
- Formt eine Spielgruppe und versucht es mal mit Mehreren – mit drei Seilen und einer Peitsche in den Händen ist man ganz schön damit beschäftigt organisiert zu bleiben.

 Rest your feet – let them do the running! |
- The Carousel Game comes in handy when my feet are tired or when I am short of time – three horses get exercised at once and I can go home early! My riding horse stays in walk or trot, the others trot or canter.

|
- Das Karoussell Spiel paßt mir gut, wenn meine Füße weh tun oder ich wenig Zeit habe – drei Pferde sind gleichzeitig beschäftigt und ich kann früher nach Hause! Mein Reitpferd bleibt im Schritt oder Trab, die Anderen traben oder galoppieren.

 Train your eye to hit the interspaces correctly!

- Lunging through barrels should first be attempted with one horse only. Walking forward as well as backward in an even tempo is difficult – especially when you try it with three horses head by head! That needs a bit of practice!

- Um Tonnen longieren fängt man besser mal mit einem an. Dabei gleichmäßig vorwärts sowie rückwärts zu schreiten ist nämlich gar nicht so einfach – vor allem wenn man es mit Dreien Kopf-an-Kopf versucht! Das braucht Übung.

- Over obstacles this is even more fun. You need a good eye to lead them to the jump in an orderly fashion.

- Über Hindernisse macht das noch mehr Spaß. Man braucht ein gutes Auge, um sie ordentlich an den Sprung zu longieren.

- Learn how to lay your horses down like this from the book “From Leading to Liberty” and see it in the films “Playing with Horses”. The challenge here is to keep those two relaxed, while the third one whizzes around with tempo!

- Wie man hierfür die Pferde ablegt, lernt man aus dem Buch “From Leading to Liberty” und sieht es in den Filmen “Playing with Horses” (mit deutscher Tonspur). Die Schwierigkeit ist die Liegenden entspannt zu halten, während der Dritte mit Tempo herum saust!
