 Line Dance Blog 7:

16) Sixteenth move:

• facing West: From the right side of the horse, holding the rope at the very end, walk your right hand down the horse’s spine while asking for a back-up (you are walking East, while your horse is facing West), until you reach the tail, of which you hold a few hairs to continue moving back (up to 8 counts) – all the way to the croup (see book page 73, fig. 10d)

16) Übung Sechzehn:

• nach Westen: von der rechten Seite des Pferdes mit dem Ende des Seils in der Hand läßt man diese das Rückrad des Pferdes hinunter gleiten, während man das Kommando “zurück!” gibt. (Der Mensch läuft nach O, das Pferd schaut nach W !) bis man am Schweif ankommt, wo man an ein paar Haaren noch die restlichen Schritte Rw verlangt (Buch Seite 73, fig. 10d)

17) Seventeenth move:

17) Übung Siebzehn:

• horse still West: tell the horse to stay! … until you have rounded the croup – don’t let him move right away! With a rope long enough you will walk to beside his shoulder,

• Pferde immer noch nach Westen: “steh!” ……bis man die Kruppe umrundet hat – es darf nicht gleich los zwirbeln! Mit einem langen Seil läuft man nun vor bis an die Pferdeschulter,

• then turn (face East) and roll him out 360 degrees until he faces you again (horse facing West again). It is important that the horse turns on the spot, instead of walking around in circles! (book page 331, fig. 89b)

• dreht sich dann nach Osten und rollt das Pferd 360 Grad aus, bis es einen, genau nach Westen gerichtet, wieder anschaut. Das Pferd soll sich auf der Stelle drehen, nicht in Kreisen herum laufen! (Buch S. 331, fig. 89b)
