Circling ohne Seil – Teil 10

- Circling games are those, where the horses stick around us voluntarily and without a rope or lunge line. A smart horse does not do that without reason – if you have not developed a good relationship first, this will not succeed.

- Circling Spiele nennen wir solche, in denen das Pferd freiwillig, ohne Seil oder Longe, um uns auf dem Zirkel bleibt. Ein kluges Pferd tut das nicht ohne Grund – wenn da nicht schon vorher eine gute Beziehung besteht, wird das nicht klappen.

- Again you communicate with your horses via body language, which is explained in detail in my book. When I want my horse to come closer to me on a smaller circle I look at his hip to make it yield – when the hip goes away the head comes closer. Before the horse stops completely, my finger will direct him out again to keep going.

- Wieder teilen wir uns dem Pferd über Körpersprache mit, die im Detail in meinem Buch gezeigt ist. Wenn ich will, daß das Pferd auf einem kleineren Kreis geht, schaue ich auf seine Hüfte damit sie weicht – wenn die Hüfte sich wegdreht kommt der Kopf zu mir. Bevor mein Pferd ganz stoppt, weise ich es mit meinem Finger wieder raus zum Weiterlaufen.

- Circling horses in a counter-traffic pattern is a bit trickier. By nature these herd animals, experts in harmony and avoidance of conflict, do not much like to come toward each other on such a collision course!

- Pferde im Gegenverkehr los zu schicken ist trickreicher. Von Natur aus wollen diese Herdentiere, die Experten in Harmonie und Konfliktverhütung sind, nämlich nicht so gern auf so einem Konfrontationskurs laufen!

- When you get two of your playgroup to run one way and remain head-by-head, while the third one goes through in the centre, then you have become a pretty good trainer! The higher the tempo, the more difficult it gets.

- Wenn Sie es schaffen zwei der Spielgruppe so in die eine Richtung zu schicken, daß sie Kopf-an-Kopf bleiben, während der Dritte in der Mitte durch geht, dann sind Sie schon ein fortgeschrittener Trainer! Je höher das Tempo, desto schwieriger wird es auch noch.

- There is no limit to what you can try! I am very proud of my assistant Terri here, who shows an excellent effort with a new horse in the group – keeping order in the “Head-to-Head” position – not easy!!

- Man kann immer mehr Übungen erfinden! Hier bin ich sehr stolz auf meine Assistentin Terri, die wundervoll mit einem neuen Pferd in der Truppe fertig wird. In der “Kopf-an-Kopf” Position mit drei Pferden Ordnung zu halten ist nicht einfach!!
Wie man hier vom einfachen Anfang Schritt für Schritt zum Experten wird, wird im Buch “From Leading to Liberty” und den Filmen “Playing with Horses” gezeigt.
